Safety notes
- ⚠️ Always supervise your baby closely around water, even a small amount. Babies can drown in as little as an inch of water. Ensure water is comfortably warm, not hot. • Use only a tiny amount of mild, baby-safe, unscented soap. • Always practice ABCs of safe sleep: Alone, Back, Crib. • No screens for babies under 18 months, except for live video chat. • No honey for babies under 1 year. • Keep small objects (anything smaller than 1.25 inches in diameter), whole nuts, grapes, hot dog rounds, popcorn, and hard candy away from babies due to choking hazards. When to call your pediatrician: • If your baby is not tracking objects or voices. • If they are not bringing objects to their mouth. • If they are not attempting to babble or make sounds by 8-9 months. • If they show a sudden loss of skills they once had. • If they are not sitting with support by 9 months. • If they do not respond to their name by 9-12 months.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Quickly dry the sink area or empty the basin. Wipe down any splashes with a clean towel. Put away the soap and washcloth for next time.
