1. What Pip Playbook Is (and Isn't)
Pip Playbook is a digital subscription service that provides play and activity ideas, instructions, planning tools, and shopping lists for parents, guardians, and caregivers. The Service provides informational and educational content only.
Pip Playbook is not professional advice. We are not pediatricians, child-development specialists, or safety certifiers, and nothing in the Service is medical, developmental, therapeutic, or safety advice for your specific child. Always use your own judgment about what is appropriate for your child.
2. Who May Use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is designed for and directed at adults. Children may participate in activities only under your direct supervision, in the real world — the Service itself is not intended to be used by children.
3. Your Account
You're responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your email current so we can reach you about your subscription. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@pipplaybook.com.
4. Activities, Safety, and Assumption of Risk — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Summary: You are in charge of your child's safety. Activities are done at your own risk, with adult supervision, adapted to your own child.
The activities described in the Service involve real-world materials and actions — including but not limited to water, small objects, food, craft materials, glue, scissors, outdoor environments, and physical movement — that carry inherent risks, including choking, drowning, allergic reaction, burns, cuts, slips, and other injury.
By using the Service you acknowledge and agree that:
- (a) Adult supervision is required at all times for every activity;
- (b) You will review each activity in full — including materials, steps, and safety notes — before starting, and will judge for yourself whether it is safe and age-appropriate for your specific child, environment, and circumstances (including allergies, developmental stage, and abilities);
- (c) Age ranges, times, and safety notes in the Service are general guidance only and cannot account for your individual child;
- (d) You voluntarily assume all risk arising from performing, adapting, or attempting any activity found in the Service;
- (e) To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pipplaybook LLC is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from activities performed based on content in the Service.
If an activity's instructions ever appear unclear or unsafe to you, do not perform it, and please tell us at support@pipplaybook.com so we can review it.
5. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing
Summary: Free tier is free forever. Paid plans auto-renew until you cancel. Trials convert to paid unless canceled before the trial ends. Cancel anytime in your account settings.
Plans. We offer a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription ("Pip Plus") billed either monthly or annually at the prices shown at checkout. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout.
Free trial. New Plus subscriptions may include a free trial (currently 7 days). A valid payment method is required to start a trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be automatically charged for the plan you selected when the trial expires. We send a reminder email before your trial ends.
Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize our reseller Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
Canceling. You can cancel anytime in your account settings — it takes under a minute. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you keep full access until then. Details, including trial cancellation and refunds, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. For existing subscribers, price changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance so you can cancel first if you wish.
Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms govern payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics, and apply to your purchase in addition to these Terms.
6. Our Content and Your License
All content in the Service — activities, text, images, the Pip character, logos, and software — is owned by Pipplaybook LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content for your own family's personal, non-commercial use while your account is in good standing. You may not: copy, scrape, or bulk-download the activity library; republish, resell, or redistribute our content (including in classrooms-for-fee, apps, books, or content farms); use our content to train AI models; or remove attribution. Sharing an individual activity with a friend or your child's grandparent in the ordinary personal way is fine — systematic reproduction is not.
7. Content You Submit (Community Photos, Reviews)
If you submit content to the Service — such as photos of completed activities or reviews — the following applies:
- (a) You keep ownership of your content. You grant Pipplaybook LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and reasonably reproduce it within the Service and in marketing for the Service, until you delete it or your account.
- (b) You confirm you have the right to submit it — including, if a photo includes a child, that you are that child's parent or legal guardian (or have the parent's explicit permission) and consent to its display.
- (c) All submissions are moderated: they are reviewed before appearing publicly, and we may decline or remove any submission at our discretion, without notice, for any reason.
- (d) Don't submit content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexual, dangerous, or that includes personal information (full names, addresses, schools) of any child.
- (e) You can delete your submissions at any time in your account, and deleting your account removes them.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems; share, resell, or pool account access; misrepresent your identity; harvest data about other users; or interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with a refund of any unused prepaid period only where required by law or our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in account settings. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for material breach of these Terms. Sections 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or suitable for your specific circumstances.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Pipplaybook LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data; and (b) our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pipplaybook LLC and its owners and personnel from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from: your violation of these Terms; content you submit; or your performance or supervision of real-world activities.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@pipplaybook.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally — most issues are fixable this way. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them; if you don't, cancel and stop using the Service.
15. Miscellany
These Terms plus the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
