Learning benefits
- 💡 Children learn about Newton's Third Law of Motion (action and reaction) as escaping air pushes the raft forward. They develop spatial reasoning and engineering skills by distributing cargo weight to prevent capsizing.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Children must be supervised from a close distance around standing water. Dispose of any popped or torn balloon pieces immediately as they pose a serious choking hazard for young children.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Wipe down the plastic rafts and toy crabs with a dry towel. Pour the tub water onto outdoor plants or a lawn to conserve water. Roll up the wet towels and dry the floor space completely to prevent slipping.
