Learning benefits
- 💡 Following the ordered steps to combine the Water, Baby Oil, and Silver Glitter reinforces procedural thinking and the ability to execute a sequence. Observing the oil and water refuse to mix provides a tangible, memorable introduction to the scientific concept of liquid density and immiscibility.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ An adult must handle the Super Glue to permanently seal the bottle lid, as it can bond skin instantly. Although the contents are non-toxic, ensure the lid is sealed to prevent accidental ingestion of the Baby Oil or glitter. Keep the finished bottle away from mouths.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Immediately wash the Small Plastic Funnel and any measuring cups with warm, soapy water to remove oily residue. Wipe up any Baby Oil or water spills with a paper towel to prevent slippery surfaces. Dispose of empty material containers in the recycling bin.
