Nature's Hide-and-Seek: Camouflage Clay Creatures
Kids will sculpt small animal figures from air-dry clay and then use found natural materials to camouflage them. They'll learn about animal adaptations by hiding their camouflaged creatures in an outdoor setting and trying to find them.

Safety notes
- ⚠️ Ensure children wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling clay and outdoor materials like soil and leaves. Supervise the collection of natural materials to ensure children do not pick poisonous plants, sharp objects, or animal droppings. Air-dry clay is non-toxic but should not be ingested.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Use a damp paper towel to wipe clay residue from hands and the work surface before it dries and becomes difficult to remove. Shake out all collected natural materials from bags and buckets back into the yard, and rinse the containers with a hose. Any unused clay should be sealed tightly in a zip-top bag with a damp paper towel to keep it from hardening.
