Learning benefits
- 💡 Drawing the same character with slight modifications on each page develops visual consistency and an understanding of cause-and-effect in motion. Planning the action from start to finish strengthens sequential thinking and problem-solving, as the child must visualize the entire sequence before drawing the first frame.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ The fine-tip black marker is permanent, so protect the work surface with newspaper to prevent stains. The 1-inch metal binder clip has a strong spring; an adult should assist younger children with clamping it onto the pad to avoid pinching fingers.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Securely cap the fine-tip black marker and put away the No. 2 graphite pencil. Collect all shavings from the pink rubber eraser and dispose of them in a trash bin. Store the completed flip-book in a dry, flat place.
