- 💡 This activity enhances problem-solving skills as children figure out how to make their bridge stable. Fine motor skills are developed through manipulating small materials, and creativity is fostered by decorating their unique troll habitat. Spatial reasoning is also improved by conceptualizing and building a 3D structure.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Adult supervision is recommended, especially when using the craft glue to ensure proper handling and to prevent ingestion. Ensure children do not put any small components, like moss or pebbles, into their mouths as they are choking hazards. Ventilate the area well if using paint, although our paints are non-toxic. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after completing the activity.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Gather all unused materials and return them to their designated bags or containers. Dispose of any newspaper and soiled paper towels. Rinse paint brushes and the water cup thoroughly, then wipe down the workspace with a damp cloth.
