Safety notes
- ⚠️ Use a light blanket or sheet and leave a clear opening so no child feels trapped or overheats under the submarine roof. Avoid placing the fort near stairs, sharp furniture corners, unstable chairs, or lamps that could tip if the blanket is tugged. For younger children, keep the treasure larger than a choking hazard and do not hide it inside cabinets, under heavy cushions, or anywhere they need to climb. If a child becomes worried in the enclosed space, lift the blanket side immediately and continue as an open-deck submarine.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Make cleanup part of the mission by announcing, “Docking crew, fold the ocean roof,” and have your child help pull the blanket flat. Return chairs, put the treasure object back where it belongs, and do one final scan for crayons, paper, or small items left under the fort.
