Learning benefits
- 💡 This activity encourages creativity and imaginative storytelling as children invent their own magical narratives. It also hones fine motor skills through mixing and kneading, and introduces foundational scientific concepts like states of matter and solubility in a playful context.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Adult supervision is required throughout the activity. Remind children not to ingest any of the materials, especially the borax-free slime ingredients. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after handling all ingredients to prevent skin irritation.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Immediately collect all mixing bowls, spoons, and containers for washing. Discard any leftover slime particles in the trash, not down the drain, to prevent clogs. Wipe down the work surface and put away all unused materials.
