Learning benefits

  • 💡 This activity gently encourages your baby to develop the core strength and coordination needed for rolling. It also boosts their visual tracking skills and helps them understand their body’s movement in space.

Safety notes

  • ⚠️ Always supervise your baby during playtime. • Ensure the play area is free of loose blankets, pillows, or any soft objects that could pose a suffocation risk. Remember "Alone, Back, Crib" for safe sleep. • The rattle or toy should be free of small parts (over 1.25 inch diameter) that could be a choking hazard. • Never leave your baby unattended, especially when they are learning new movements like rolling. • No screens for babies under 18 months, except for live video calls with family. • No honey under 1 year of age. • Keep small toys and objects (like coins, buttons, or small game pieces) out of reach. • Avoid foods that are choking hazards such as whole grapes, hot dogs (unless cut lengthwise and into very small pieces), nuts, popcorn, and hard candies.

Cleanup

  • 🧹 Put the rattle or toy back in its place. Fold up the blanket or play mat and store it away for next time.
