- 💡 This activity strengthens the precious bond between you and your baby, teaching them about communication and emotional expression. It helps them understand cause and effect – that their actions can elicit a response from you – which is a building block for future social interactions and language development. It also helps them begin to recognize and understand different emotions.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Always supervise your baby during playtime. Ensure the play area is clear of any small objects that could be a choking hazard (smaller than 1.25 inches in diameter). Never leave your baby unattended. For sleep, remember the ABCs of Safe Sleep: Alone, Back, Crib. No screens for babies under 18 months, except for live video chats with family. Never give honey to a baby under 1 year old.
