Learning benefits
- 💡 This activity helps your baby understand that objects still exist even when they can't see them (object permanence). It also encourages problem-solving as they try to find the hidden toy, develops fine motor skills, and supports early language through interaction and repetitive words.
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Always supervise your baby during play. • Ensure nesting cups are clean and free of cracks or small pieces that could break off. • The hidden toy must be large enough not to be a choking hazard (>1.25 inch diameter). • Remember ABCs of Safe Sleep: Alone, on their Back, in a Crib. • No screens for babies under 18 months of age, except for live video chat with family. • No honey for babies under 1 year old. • No whole nuts, grapes, hot-dog rounds, popcorn, or hard candy due to choking risk.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Gather all nesting cups and the toy. Store them in a clean, safe place, ready for the next play session.
