Safety notes
- ⚠️ Never leave a baby unattended in the bath, even for a moment – always maintain touch supervision. • Ensure water temperature is comfortably warm, not hot. • Keep all bath supplies (shampoo, soap) out of your baby’s reach. • Use tear-free baby products. • Avoid using baby walkers and crib bumpers. • No screens under 18 months, except for live video chat with family. • Always follow ABC (Alone, Back, Crib) safe sleep practices, with no loose blankets or pillows in the crib. • No honey under 1 year. • No whole nuts, whole grapes, hot-dog rounds, popcorn, or hard candy due to choking hazards. Choose bath toys that are larger than 1.25 inches in diameter to prevent choking. When to call your pediatrician: If your baby isn’t babbling or trying to communicate, doesn’t respond to their name, doesn’t make eye contact, or seems uninterested in interacting with people, it’s a good idea to chat with your pediatrician.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Drain the bathtub and rinse thoroughly. Put away all bath toys and securely store baby bath products out of reach. Discard any used washcloths into the laundry.
