Learning benefits
- 💡 This activity is wonderful for strengthening those tiny hand muscles and improving hand-eye coordination as your baby learns to grasp and manipulate crayons and paper. It also sparks early creativity and allows for sensory exploration of different textures and colors, all while fostering a sense of accomplishment!
Safety notes
- ⚠️ Always supervise your baby during this activity to prevent mouthing of materials. Use only non-toxic, chunky crayons that are too large to be a choking hazard. Ensure the high chair or sitting area is secure. • Remember: Alone, Back, Crib for safe sleep, no loose blankets or pillows. • No screens under 18 months, except for live video calls. • No honey under 1 year. • Keep small objects (smaller than 1.25 inches in diameter) out of reach to prevent choking. This includes toys and food like whole nuts, grapes, hot-dog rounds, popcorn, and hard candy.
Cleanup
- 🧹 Gather all paper and crayons. Wipe down the high chair tray or surface with a damp cloth. Dispose of any torn paper. Put crayons back in their designated spot.
